Here are some of my latest Dollar Store crafts.
Song Bird
I was inspired by Sudie Alexander, she did an episode of Unkit all about Dollar Store crafting. She did another cute little bird from the dollar store. Here's what mine looked like before I decoupaged him and added chalk to the details of his wing.
A hook and light-switch plate. I was inspired by a similar one I saw on the website.
Here is what it looked like before, I got the copper stickers and plastic hook from the dollar store :)
This one is my favorite, I have been seeing these paper cone wreaths around, made mostly from book pages. I decided to try it using doilies form the Dollar Store.
I love the way it turned out!

One more great dollar store find
Grosgrain ribbon, they had it in every color! 4 yards on each spool.

So fun! Thanks for the link to my site and for showing off all your projects. I love the paper doily idea! Also, the lightswitch cover is a great idea, too! Yay!
ReplyDeleteI also fell for the glitter- small packets, but GORGEOUS glitters! I only picked up 1 of each so far. I don't work with glitter as much as I would like- it gets everywhere!
ReplyDeleteI've also been stocking up on the grosgrain and satin ribbons. I wish they'd carry it all the time!
Also kinda wish that my store would have had it out a day or two earlier. I went to Walmart to get 1 1/2" wide black satin ribbon to make a headband for my daughter. 2 days later, I found the same width and the same amount for half the price. Figures!
Such cute ideas! I will have to check it out! Have a great day! ~andrea
ReplyDeleteLove glitter and I think I may need to take a trip to the dollar store for that ribbon.
ReplyDeleteYour crafts are all wonderful. Great job.
ReplyDeleteI'm April Stash busting so I have avoided the Dollar Store for fear of caving... you aren't making it any easier :-)
Glitter is so fun! Great giveaway.
I hadn't seen the glitter at mine. I think I must go back soon and have a look.
ReplyDeleteOh and I love the hook you made. I've seen the hooks and those stickers and never even considered combining them like that. Looks great!
I will love some of that glitter!
ReplyDeleteAHH I love glitter. If I don't win I will have to go check out the dollar store!
ReplyDeleteHoly cow, glitter!?! I didn't see that the last time I went! Have to check next time.

Oh Man! Looks like I need to make I run to the Dollar tree...but hoping to win some instead! :)
ReplyDeleteThe dollar store is one of my favorite places. I LOVE finding crafty scores like this. Superfine glitter is awesome, but so expensive from Ms Martha. The unfinished wooden boxes, frames, etc is another favorite section for me.
ReplyDeleteMe and my girl love to play in glitter and now that it's summer and we can do that outside we'll be doing it lots more. It'd be nice to have a rainbow of colors to share with her.
ReplyDeleteglitter....so cool! If you are a glitter lover and have no dollar store for 20 miles it is a big deal! Mary
ReplyDeleteI bought the glitter too! I don't even know what I'm going to use it for yet but knew Martha Stewart charged $30 for hers and figured I'll want glittery stuff around Christmas time for sure! I love your ideas. Very creative!
ReplyDeleteI love the wreath! No wonder you are pleased with how it turned out!
ReplyDeleteI am happy to participate in your first ever giveaway! I can always use glitter! Always!
